Responsibilities:
- Serve as in-store/onsite manager overseeing large-scale projects throughout all phases.
- Establish and enforce administrative procedures for each project.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to ensure successful project completion.
- Supervise team and individual efforts, fostering positive professional relationships with clients and team members.
- Manage day-to-day operations and tactical aspects of multiple large-scale projects.
- Prioritize safety and minimize risks throughout project execution.
- Ensure successful project execution with thorough and accurate reporting.
- Maintain timely and accurate record-keeping.
- Provide coaching and training for all levels of field personnel, including on-the-job training for certifications and career progression.
- Ensure completeness, currency, and appropriate distribution of project documents.
- Communicate effectively with project teams and management personnel through daily email and field reports.
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal communication skills when dealing with internal and external partners.
- Coordinate efficiently with field management personnel to maximize overall business effectiveness.
- Oversee projects involving installation of conveyors, mezzanines, and other structural elements.
- Uphold confidentiality of customer and company information.
- Provide honest and constructive feedback when reviewing submitted daily field reports.
- Seek guidance from appropriate sources as needed to fulfill responsibilities and duties effectively.
Requirements:
- Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.
- Ability to work nights and weekends for up to 2-3 consecutive weeks during travel or high-volume periods, with advance notice.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving repetitive bending, standing, and walking, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Availability for extended work hours as needed to meet project or customer demands.
- 5+ years of experience managing onsite field operations for pallet racking, steel racking, and cantilever crews.
- 5+ years of experience in reading planograms and blueprints.
- Experience managing multiple job sites concurrently.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience managing crews for assembly of storage shelving, rack shelving, structural shelving, and steel shelving systems.
- Mechanical inclination or experience with racking installations and demolition.
- Proficiency with hand tools, cordless power tools, and mechanical assembly tools.
- Ability to ensure accuracy and job quality according to established mechanical and safety standards.
