As a forklift operator, you will be responsible for moving materials around a warehouse or manufacturing facility using heavy machinery. 

Duties include: 

1. Receiving and shipping: Off-loading incoming shipments, moving items to storage, and assembling items for shipment 
2. Loading and unloading: Picking, packing, and loading products onto and off of trailers, rail cars, and cargo ships 
3. Moving materials: Using pallets and crates to move materials around the facility 
4. Stacking: Stacking loads in the correct storage bays 
5. Maintaining equipment: Inspecting machinery to determine if repairs are needed, and performing regular maintenance 
6. Documenting: Completing forms, handling documentation, and maintaining production records 
7. Safety: Following safety regulations and company guidelines, and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods 
8. Quality assurance: Reporting product damage and shortages, and performing quality assurance duties 
9. Inventory: Using radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment to track inventory 
10. Rotating stock: Rotating stock so that older items are shipped or sold first
