
Exciting Opportunity to Work with At Risk Youth in a Residential Treatment Setting
This is a great entry level position for career minded people with a passion for helping at risk youth. We are seeking part time staff with a desire to work weekends. Great for students!
Position Summary: Our specialized residential treatment programs are dedicated to providing trauma informed care. On the job, you will provide support and guidance to kids teaching life skills in a therapeutic environment, plan and participate in community-based activities, and work as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team. Designed to promote social skills, emotional regulation and personal development, the program serves youth and adolescents ages 12-17

- Hourly range: $19 - $22
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- Behavioral Health experience (preferred)
- Persons with related and lived experience encouraged to apply
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Must pass background criminal history, fingerprint check, and drug test
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Works with Youth in a residential setting
- Works as part of a treatment team
- Teaches life skills, coordinates activities
- Ability to work with patience
- Provides direct care services in accordance with the treatment plan.
- Direct support engaging with residents, providing emotional and practical support in individual and group settings.
- Effective communication with team members, parent/guardians, case managers, and clients.
- Ability to apply redirection and de-escalation techniques.
- Must have the organizational sense and focus to complete a vast array of tasks
- Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail. Written Communication Competence
- Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills sufficient to navigate the unique group dynamics present.
- Safely provide transportation using agency vehicles.
- Must adhere to HIPAA regulations and always maintain client confidentiality.
- Must uphold EmotiCare spirit of excellence in work with co-workers, clients, business partners, and in the community.
Schedule: Saturday & Sundays 7:30am - 3:30pm or 3:30pm - 11:30pm
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, driving, bending, reaching, and grasping
- Several hours using a computer per week.
- Lift and carry up to approximately 30 pounds.
- Able to drive safely, including 12 or 15 passenger vans.
- May be exposed to inclement weather, heat or cold
- Able to implement non-violent physical emergency safety response tactics
