Job Title: Youth and Family Therapist

Position Overview:

Exciting opportunity to work with At-Risk Youth and Families. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate family-oriented therapist with expertise in trauma informed care modalities and experience working with at risk populations. The target population served are youth and adolescents needing out of home placement in residential treatment settings. Position will provide individual and family therapy under the guidance of our highly trained Chief of Clinical services.

Work with us as we develop our new brain spa, neurolinguistic programming, and other leading trauma-based practices. This is a full-time position intended for a licensed mental health professional committed to assisting young individuals in navigating and overcoming the challenges associated with trauma and mental health issues. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in engaging with children and adolescents, applying age-appropriate therapeutic methodologies to facilitate healing and resilience.

Responsibilities

  1. Required to carry a case load; Deliver individual and group therapy sessions that are customized to address the specific needs of children and adolescents, emphasizing trauma-informed care modalities
  2. Assessment; Conducts Biopsychosocial assessments and related trauma screening and assessments
  3. Develop and execute individualized treatment plans designed to enhance each client’s emotional and mental well-being.
  4. Document all client interactions meticulously and maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical records.
  5. Participates in Child and Family Team Meetings
  6. Provides Clinical Impressions for Insurance Authorizations
  7. Engage in regular supervision, participate in case reviews, and pursue opportunities for professional development to enhance clinical competencies.


Qualifications

  1. Must possess an associate or independent license from the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
  2. Scope of Practice in Adolescent and Family Behavioral Health Services
  3. Demonstrated experience in working with children and adolescents, particularly those who have experienced trauma.
  4. Proficiency in trauma-based treatment modalities
  5. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the capacity to effectively engage and develop rapport with young clients.
  6. Strong organizational abilities, with meticulous attention to detail in both documentation and treatment planning.
