We are currently looking for a Produce Manager to work days, evenings, weekends and some holidays.  As a Produce Manager you will effectively direct and supervise all functions and activities of the Produce Department and its Associates to achieve the Department’s goals (i.e., sales, profit, Customer Experience, and Associate Engagement) in accordance with our Purpose and Service Priorities under the direction of the General Store Manager.

We are currently looking for a Produce Manager to work days, evenings, weekends and some holidays. As a Produce Manager you will effectively direct and supervise all functions and activities of the Produce Department and its Associates to achieve the Department’s goals (i.e., sales, profit, Customer Experience, and Associate Engagement) in accordance with our Purpose and Service Priorities under the direction of the General Store Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the produce department, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and merchandising
- Ensure that all produce is fresh, properly displayed, and meets quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust orders as necessary to maintain appropriate stock levels
- Train and supervise produce department staff, including scheduling and assigning tasks
- Implement and enforce food safety and sanitation procedures
- Develop and maintain relationships with local farmers and suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality produce
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, pricing, and new products in order to make informed purchasing decisions
- Collaborate with other departments to create attractive displays and cross-promotions

Skills:
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in basic math for inventory management and pricing calculations
- Knowledge of the produce market, including seasonal availability and pricing trends
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage inventory effectively
- Effective phone etiquette for communicating with suppliers and customers
- Administrative skills for managing paperwork, such as invoices and purchase orders
- Ability to lift heavy boxes or crates of produce as needed
