About the position:

At College Hunks, we call our foremen "Captains" because they are responsible for piloting their team in the direction of success. As a Captain for College Hunks, you are the face of the company as you represent yourself, your crew, and our company in a professional manner to our clients while on the job. You will have the chance to handle the personal belongings and furniture of each of our clients, ensuring a Stress-Free moving experience. Our success starts with you! We are looking for LEADERS!

You will be fully immersed in a fast-paced, multi-faceted work environment where you get to be exposed to different types of professional work such as: Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Customer Service, Conflict Resolution, and Communication. Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate each job carefully, you are the leader (Captain)!
2. Go out of your way to be friendly (smile, eye contact, small-talk) to everyone whom you come in contact with throughout the day – especially your clients.
3. Look, act like, and be a friendly HUNK – starting with the uniform (shirt tucked in, hat straight, pants at the waist), and continuing with your attitude and service (smiles and eye contact).
4. SAFELY operate at all times. This goes for while you are driving, and while you are completing each job!
5. Make sure your truck inspections are performed (equipment, gas, cleanliness, etc).
6. Be able to make logistical decisions (when to dispose of, what to donate or recycle, how to best complete a job, how to package items and load a truck, how to market during downtime).
7. Lead your team by example, showing them what the core values of the company are all about.
8. Mentor and train new hires on day to day operations and how to live out our core values.
9. Prevent careless and costly mistakes, including damage, injury, unhappy clients, lost equipment, etc.
10. Check-in regularly throughout the day with direct supervisor for additional assignments and troubleshooting guidance.

Pay:

1. Captains have uncapped earning potential. Captains average over $20/hr
2. Captains make bonus/commission on the following:

-Materials they sell on the job (tape, shrinkwrap, bubblewrap, boxes, etc.)

-"Junk on Move" (hauling away unwanted items at the time of a move)

-Valuations (item coverage above the state minimum)

1. Drivers also earn a hefty driver bonus for driving safely.

Qualifications:

1. Must be able to lift 75lbs solo and over 100lbs with a team (physically fit)
2. Reliable transportation to and from work (your own vehicle)
3. Valid Texas Driver's License a MUST
4. Eligible to work in the United States
5. Drug and alcohol-free (we do random testing)
6. Must be able to pass a federal background check
