Key Responsibilities:
- Transportation Services:
- Provide transportation for residents to and from medical appointments, social activities, and other approved destinations
- Ensure trips are completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of residents
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Report any maintenance issues or incidents to the supervisor
- Resident Assistance:
- Assist residents with boarding and alighting, ensuring safety and comfort
- Secure wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids
- Documentation and Communication:
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including times, destinations, and any incidents
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and staff
- Customer Service:
- Provide friendly and courteous service
- Address concerns from residents or their families professionally
Qualifications:
- Licenses: Valid chauffer driver’s license in LA with a clean driving record
- Certification: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in LA
- Experience: Previous driving experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Attributes: Compassionate, patient, and able to work well under pressure
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to assist residents with mobility challenges, including lifting and securing wheelchairs
- Prolonged periods of driving and sitting
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor weather
