Key Responsibilities:

1. Transportation Services:
2. Provide transportation for residents to and from medical appointments, social activities, and other approved destinations
3. Ensure trips are completed in a timely and efficient manner
4. Safety and Compliance:
5. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of residents
6. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
7. Report any maintenance issues or incidents to the supervisor
8. Resident Assistance:
9. Assist residents with boarding and alighting, ensuring safety and comfort
10. Secure wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids
11. Documentation and Communication:
12. Maintain accurate records of trips, including times, destinations, and any incidents
13. Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and staff
14. Customer Service:
15. Provide friendly and courteous service
16. Address concerns from residents or their families professionally

Qualifications:

1. Licenses: Valid chauffer driver’s license in LA with a clean driving record
2. Certification: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in LA
3. Experience: Previous driving experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
4. Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
5. Attributes: Compassionate, patient, and able to work well under pressure

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to assist residents with mobility challenges, including lifting and securing wheelchairs
2. Prolonged periods of driving and sitting
3. Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor weather
